Robert Fripp's Diary

Tuesday 21 September 1999

Back at World Central In

03.56 Back at World Central. In bed at 00.10, awake at 01.30, up at 02.05. So, not quite a lie-in. Important paper waiting, plus a number of key matters to be swiftly addressed. My e-mail doesn't function - pooey pooey, as sister would say - but paper is present in abundance.

Two letters pulled from the waiting file: one from Professor Bill (Martin), who may be visiting Stonehenge in October. Sadly, I'll miss him (Crimsonising in Nashville). A second, from LS, honourably seeking to put himself in a possible firing line rather than hide behind an e-mail address in respect of a recent posting on the Guestbook. He writes: "My continued support to our similar ideals of go forward, learn from the past not live in, remains, intact". Of all possible ciriticisms which might be made of this fallen creature, living in the past is not one which holds terror for me.

05.56 A flurry of paper discharged, I'm back to bed.

David has just left for home. The Late Shift has been in office mode tonight. A very busy day at World Central.

Excitements! Whose seen the new diary entries? I've often wondered what the life of a professional musician is like. Now we have the opportunity to find out. These players are putting a lot of energy into making their lives available. May I suggest we take advantage of this?
